This page contains the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that apply to Arpelier during the current MVP phase 1 free beta.
Arpelier lets users create, save, manage, share, and visualize projects. Because the Service uses external cloud infrastructure, users should review project visibility and the type of information they upload.
Terms of Service
These Terms govern the basic rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Arpelier Team and users of the Service.
1. The Service
Arpelier is a web-based service that allows users to create, save, manage, share, and visualize projects.
We may change, improve, or update the features, design, or delivery of the Service at any time.
2. Accounts
- Users must log in to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for maintaining the security of your account.
- You may not transfer, lend, or share your account with others.
3. Projects and Visibility
Users may set project visibility within the Service.
- Private projects are visible only to the owner and users explicitly authorized by the owner.
- Public projects are visible to anyone with the project link.
- Listed public projects may be discoverable within public areas of the Service, including the dashboard, even without a direct link.
- You are responsible for choosing the visibility of your projects and for any consequences resulting from that choice.
Private projects are not visible to other general users and can be accessed within the Service only by the creator and explicitly invited collaborators.
4. User Content
You retain responsibility for the projects, text, images, settings, and other materials you upload, input, save, or create through the Service.
We may process User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, store, sync, share, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
5. External Services and Sensitive Information
The Service operates using external cloud services and infrastructure. As a result, information you input or upload may be stored or processed in external service environments.
- You are responsible for complying with the security policies and internal rules of your company, institution, school, or organization.
- You must not upload or input confidential business information, trade secrets, sensitive information, or restricted information unless you are authorized to do so.
- You are solely responsible for any upload or sharing of such information.
As with most cloud-based SaaS services, authorized operators may technically access stored data for limited purposes such as service operation, security, incident response, customer support, abuse/spam prevention, data recovery or migration, and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- You may not violate applicable laws or public order.
- You may not access or use another person’s account without authorization.
- You may not interfere with the normal operation of the Service or access it in abnormal ways.
- You may not impose unreasonable load on the Service through malware, scripts, or excessive requests.
- You may not infringe the rights, confidentiality, privacy, or intellectual property of others.
7. Changes or Suspension
We may change or suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, security, technical reasons, or service improvement.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Because the Service is currently offered as a free beta service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.

11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If mandatory local laws apply to you, those laws will prevail to the extent required.

2. Why We Use the Information
- To provide login and account management.
- To store, load, sync, and share projects.
- To manage access to private, public, and listed public projects.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- To analyze logs to improve service quality.
- To respond to inquiries and requests.
Where reasonably possible, log analysis is performed in aggregated, anonymous, or de-identified form. We do not provide such log data to third-party analytics vendors; analysis is performed through our own internal tools and stored in Supabase DB.
3. Storage and External Services
The Service uses Supabase for authentication and database services.
Account information, project information, and service logs may be stored or processed in external service environments, including Supabase. The Service may also use external infrastructure for hosting, deployment, and operations.
As with most cloud-based SaaS services, authorized operators may technically access stored data only for limited operational, security, support, abuse/spam prevention, recovery, migration, or legal compliance purposes.

4. Project Visibility
Project visibility is controlled by the user.
- Private projects are visible only to the owner and authorized users.
- Public projects are visible to anyone with the project link.
- Listed public projects may be accessible within public areas of the Service even without a direct link.
Users should carefully review the visibility setting of each project.
Private projects are not visible to other general users and can be accessed within the Service only by the creator and explicitly invited collaborators.
5. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary.
- Account and project information: until account deletion or user request
- Service logs: for as long as needed for service operation and quality improvement, up to 12 months
- Contact information: for a reasonable period after handling the inquiry
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
We may disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to process a user request.
7. International Processing
Because the Service uses external cloud and infrastructure providers, personal information may be processed outside Korea.
By using the Service, users understand this storage and processing structure.
8. Your Rights
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or account deletion regarding their personal information.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Sensitive Information and Organizational Policies
This Service is an external service.
Users are responsible for complying with the security policies, internal rules, and confidentiality obligations of their organization.
Users must not upload confidential business information, trade secrets, sensitive information, or restricted information unless they are authorized to do so.
Users should avoid uploading confidential company information, trade secrets, unpublished patent ideas, security-sensitive process conditions, or sensitive research data.
